An alien drone is a type of xenomorph secondly encountered on L V-426 by colonists of whom there was only one survivor ,a young girl named Rebbeca 'newt' Jordan.After contact was lost with the colonists a group of marines was sent to exterminate the xenomorphs,among them a man named Burke Carter who was sent in secret by Weyland-Yutani Corp. to bring back a xenomorph for their weapons division.An alien drone can be most easily distinguished from an alien warrior by their heads the head of a warrior can be smooth black or have a cowl covering a ridged head while drones have a head of ridges without the cowl. The drones are thought to be more aggressive than the warriors as their job is not just protecting the nest but also gaurding the queen and her eggs and also bringing the queen potential hosts.the first time these were encountered was during the gunnisoN Colorado incident and would not be encoutered again until the 22 century.
