Space Jockey

The Space Jockey is the name given to the being found inside the derelict ship on LV426. The Jockeys were an advanced spacefaring race that existed over 3 billion years before humans evolved, and controlled many planets, including Earth. However, the Jockeys became corrupt, and the Xenomorphs sprang up out of nowhere, and began wiping them out. The Jockeys were forced to evacuate their own homeworld, and every Jockey was killed, except for two. The first of these died in 2142, and the second died in 2195. There has also been unconfirmed reports of Jockey sightings over the years, which leads to believe that there may have been some other survivers. See also: The Pilot.
