Weyland-Yutani

Weyland-Yutani is A large Earth conglomerate which owned many aspects of human life. Weyland-Yutani was an Anglo-Jap corporation formed in the early 22nd century, and by the year 2179, controlled most of the government and the media, and had many tie-ins with the military, buying them out for special projects on a nearly daily basis. Weyland-Yutani desperately wanted get its hands on a Xenomorph specimen, and contracted the Nostromo to pick one up at LV426 in 2122. However, after the mission failed, Weyland-Yutani tried again in 2179, and again at Fiorina 161 in 2180. Weyland-Yutani was thought of as generally corrupt by many of its employees, and was known for considering its personell as "expendable". Weyland-Yutani also owned Aspen Beer, Trispast Salvage, and the Red Giant luxury liners. Weyland-Yutani was bought out by Wal-Mart in the mid-24th century.
